‘The Bachelor’ spotlight: Will Mackenzie Deonigi give Chris Soules perfect smile?
Even though we may be nearing Christmas, that does not mean that we’re slowing down with our “Bachelor” spotlight articles! We will continue to have one of these for you daily until this next season starts, and at that point, we’ll also have a preview podcast for you! We should be recording that this weekend, and then preparing to get it up a little close to when the season airs.
Today, we’re spotlight the youngest contestant this season in Mackenzie Deonigi, a dental assistant who would probably be good to praise Chris Soules’ dental work early and often.
Age – 21
Hometown – Maple Valley, Washington. This is a fairly small town not incredibly far from Seattle, which means that she probably experienced both small-town and city life during her formative years. That’s a nice mixture of experiences.
Occupation – Dental assistant. It’s good to see that she already has a good job! Ashley Hebert is probably the most famous contestant to ever come from the dentistry world, and it is important to have pearly whites on-camera.
Bio highlights – Apparently, she thinks that Mila Kunis is “perfect,” and that always worries us anytime someone thinks that another person is “perfect.” That’s just a petty thing, though. The reality here is that in our superficial search online, there was not much to go on with Mackenzie. She may have just tried out because she liked Chris on the show.
Positives – She seems very down-to-earth, and there are no immediate red flags online when it comes to her past or her personality. We don’t get the complete sense that she just wants to be famous, and she has a job that can travel anywhere in the country. It’s a real skill, and that is important.
Negatives – With her being the youngest contestant, there are obviously going to be questions about maturity and if she is ready for marriage. She is just old enough to legally have wine on the first night! Still, we know that age is only a number, and she could actually be more mature than some of the other women; we just don’t know if Chris perceives it in such a way.
Prediction – In looking back at the history of the show, most contestants who are 22 or younger fail to make it extremely far in the competition. Heck, there have only been a handful ever on the show. We just don’t see much about her that will cause her to stand out in Chris mind beyond the first episode or two.
