‘NCIS’ season 12 spoilers: First photo of Jeri Ryan as Gibbs’ second ex!

“NCIS” will not be waiting long in the new year to start unveiling some of its latest big events, and that includes meeting a mystery woman who has been long teased: Gibbs’ second ex!

The episode “Check,” airing on January 6, is going to be the first time that we have ever seen this woman in-person on the show, and she is played by a TV veteran in Jeri Ryan. Based on the photo above, it may be fair to say that her reunion with Gibbs (Mark Harmon) is not entirely a happy one. The two appear to be discussing more serious matters, with another man present for the discussion.

As for the rest of this episode, the NCIS team will be tasked with trying to figure out who is trying to copy old cases of theirs based on some crime scenes. That is not a particularly easy mission, but it could be fun if these are cases that we have seen on the show before. Anything to inject some nostalgia into a program that is more than a decade old is to us something worth celebrating.

After this episode, we will be a little closer to the halfway point, and if you love big stories, we here that there are many things to come. Let’s just hope that none of them make us as sad as the big holiday episode did, given that we spent most of “House Rules” feeling for McGee over the loss of his dad. (Yes, we thought it was pretty obvious from a ways out.)
