ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: Quick tease of Nathan Fillion, Annie Wersching

While there may not be too much in the way of “Castle” news breaking at the moment, isn’t a little tease better than nothing? We like to think so!

The image below was posted on Twitter by none other than Annie Wersching, who has a potential two-episoe arc coming on the ABC series as Dr. Kelly Nieman, the plastic surgeon who may very well be connected to 3XK. These episodes obviously bring her back to the fold, but also ask some important questions, including if this is a storyline that is finally going to be wrapped up or not. At this point, we feel like we would be okay with the 3XK story coming to a close. You have so many other open threads right now, including the disappearance of Rick from the premiere, that you don’t necessarily have to worry that much about whether or not you have anything to still hang over the head of your viewers.

As for Nieman in general, we like the character, mostly because she is both intelligent and also shrewd at the same time. She is someone who has to be feared, since we have seen already in many forms just what she is capable of.

“Castle” returns with new episodes starting on Monday, January 12, but you are going to be waiting for a little while if you want to see what lies ahead in terms of Wersching. She is slated to appear in the two-part episode, which is coming on the air in February.
