Ratings notes: ‘Ink Master: Rivals’ finale, ‘The 100’ season 2 winter finale, more

How about some ratings conversation to get you through your Thursday? While there may not be your typical glut of TV shows on the air right now, there are at least enough to allow us to have an interesting conversation.

“Ink Master” – Apparently, the “Rivals” season ended up being quite a win for Spike TV. The season 5 finale Tuesday scored, per TVbythenumbers, a 0.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic. This allowed the show to be right on par with its season 4 finale, and it also added around 280,000 viewers for this season. This show has basically become a cornerstone of the entire network, and there are countless spin-offs from “Ink Shrink” to “Tattoo Nightmares”

“The 100” – For its winter finale on Wednesday night, the sci-fi series tied its series low 0.5 rating. This isn’t too bad of news for the show, though. It did not have its typical “Arrow” lead-in, and as we get closer to the end of the year, it also becomes a little harder to get people to watch in the midst of their holiday shopping.

“Survivor” – The finale for the show drew a 2.4 rating in the preliminary numbers, but this is likely to rise, given that the results of the vote were not unveiled until after 10:00 p.m. Eastern time. The ratings for these finales are down somewhat on Wednesday, but there’s no reason to worry about the show. Even with a slightly weaker season, there was still a very good winner, and the show is not going anywhere in the near future.
