‘The Originals’ season 2 spoilers: Exploring Baby Hope’s story

Even though we may be on hiatus for “The Originals” season 2 at the moment, why not go ahead and spend another minute or two talking about what lies ahead?

One thing that is going to be exciting, now that Baby Hope is back in the picture somewhat, is seeing just makes this child in particular special. There are not exactly many other people out there quite like her, from the supernatural factor to the fact that her father is countless years old, and that is going to create many an interesting situation moving forward. Speaking on this subject in a chat with TVLine, executive producer Michael Narducci offered up a quick tease of specifically what you can expect here:

“We want to explore what makes the child of Klaus, a hybrid, and Hayley, a werewolf, completely different from any other child on this plane … You’ll begin to see certain signs — subtle at first, then maybe not-so-subtle — in terms of how this baby is something completely unique.”

The one thing that we do hope that this show does avoid is some sort of evil-baby issue, which we have seen on a variety of other programs over the years. Not only that, but it was sort of a part of another vampire show in “True Blood.”

With this being said, we are glad that Hope is at least back in the picture in a more permanent way. The show was a little less interesting when you had this enormous part of the show not actually around most of the other characters most of the time.
