‘Saturday Night Live’ preview: Amy Adams, Taran Killam bring holiday fun

For the final show of 2014, “Saturday Night Live” is handing over the reigns to someone who should know how to handle the responsibilities of hosting very well: Amy Adams. After all, this is a woman who shines in just about everything, and she’s hosted the show many times before.

While we don’t know yet whether or not this will be the best show of the season, it does definitely have the best promo of the season. In this one, Amy and Taran Killam have great chemistry with each other, and they also get the chance to take part in a number of very silly jokes. Here are our personal top three moments.

3. Watching Taran’s French horn skills when he claims that he auditioned for One Direction … with that instrument.

2. Amy completely freaking out over One Direction, who were not actually present during the promo. In a way, this somehow managed to make it even funnier. How did she get wound up for this?

1. Watching the Christmas tree possess Taran into repeatedly proposing to Amy, even though he is married to Cobie Smulders. Also, Amy is in a longtime relationship with Darren Le Gallo. Don’t think too much about the facts here, people. That is really not what is ultimately important here.

The biggest takeaway from this promo is strictly that it is a whole lot of fun, and that is something that we are also hoping to see from this weekend’s episode. We’re going to have much more about it soon, so be sure to stay tuned!
