‘Glee’ season 6: Listen to Darren Criss’ latest performance

Blaine -Let’s face it: The wait for “Glee” this season has been a particularly long one. We thought that the final season was going to be at least promoted more by Fox than it is right now, and we are instead stuck for the most part with just trying to figure out what some of the cast members are up to.

For Darren Criss, this apparently means giving a big performance at the upcoming special “Backstage with Disney on Broadway: Celebrating 20 Years,” which is going to air on ABC on Sunday night. What will he be performing? Ironically, it is a song that was actually not a part of “Aladdin” when it was in theaters (though it is in the musical) in “Proud of Your Boy.” If you head over to Entertainment Weekly, you can hear that today.

Criss’ version of the song is fun and whimsical as you would expect, and it carries you somewhere else. It is his musical style that pretty much guarantees that he is going to have some sort of career in musical long after this show is over. After all, he also had one back before the show even started.

As for what is coming up with Darren’s “Glee” character of Blaine Anderson this coming season, the first thing that we can say you will expect is an opportunity to see how his personal life has changed since the end of last season. Hopefully, it will eventually build to some sort of ending that almost everyone can sign off on and be happy.
