‘The Amazing Race 25’ finale preview: Jim & Misti, Adam & Bethany, more compete for title

Tonight, “The Amazing Race 25” aired an episode that was fun, challenging, but also stuffed with a big twist at the end. For the first time in the history of the show, four teams are going to start this leg.

We don’t exactly think that this is our favorite twist, but we do like all of the remaining teams, and it makes things interesting as we get back to Los Angeles. There will be huge challenges, drama, and possibly even a few tears here and there.

So who is the favorite to win right now? We have to say that the force is strong with Jim & Misti. They have won five legs, and have shown themselves strong both physically and mentally. Unless they have a mental lapse or a bad cab driver, we figure they will be in contention until the very end.

As for the others, Adam & Bethany definitely have the most positive edit, and we also think that they are extremely strong physically. We don’t know how much homework they’ve done on past seasons, though, and maybe they struggle in a mental task.

For now, Sweet Scientists Amy & Maiya are the darkhorse contenders. They are not the strongest physically, but typically, final legs are not about being able to run the fastest the majority of the time. Most of the challenges have a strong mental component, and test skills you will have built up along the entire race.

Now that we’ve said all of this, we have a hard time seeing Brooke & Robbie in this at the end. They get frustrated very easily, and we just cannot see them burning through some of the challenges that we’ve seen here in past seasons.
