‘Bones’ season 10, episode 11 preview: Return date for Emily Deschanel, cast

We hope that you are really enjoying the 200th episode of “Bones” airing on Fox tonight, at least so much so that it makes up for not getting a chance to see another new episode of the show on Fox for a very long time.

The network has already confirmed that for some reason or another, they are not bringing the show back to the air until Thursday, March 26. One of the reasons for this is to give new shows “Backstrom” and “Empire” a chance, and also because of “American Idol” airing some two-night episodes for a while. The great news about this is that after this, we are going to have new episodes of “Bones” for the remainder of the season.

Now that we’ve said all of this, here is something else to wonder: How many more episodes of “Bones” are we getting this season? Maybe the show runs through and airs 22-24, but if it does, it is probably going to extend past the May sweeps. What we wouldn’t be shocked at, though, is if “Bones” tapes a few standalone episodes that they just shelve, and then air next year while Emily Deschanel is on maternity leave. We’ve seen them do at least something similar in the past.

Ultimately, this is just all speculation, other than the fact that unless Fox announces something different over the coming weeks, you are not going to be seeing Deschanel or David Boreanaz on the air for a little while. We’ll have as much updates as possible in the interim.
