‘The Good Wife’ season 6, episode 11 spoilers: Full details on ‘Hail Mary,’ Cary’s hope

The Good WifeThere has not exactly been a whole lot in the way of news lately on “The Good Wife,” but we have the first little proof that this is changing today: The official synopsis for “Hail Mary,” the show’s first episode back on the air on Sunday, January 4.

Based on the title below, there may be a sign that there is a little bit of hope for Cary. The last we saw, the character had basically accepted his fate at this point, feeling like there was not a whole lot more that he could to really turn things around.

Anyhow, maybe there are a few clues in this synopsis, which you can see below:

“Cary hires a prison consultant to prepare him for incarceration while the team at Florrick/Agos/Lockhart does everything in its power to help him. Meanwhile, Alicia practices for the State’s Attorney candidates’ debate, on THE GOOD WIFE, Sunday, Jan. 4 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network. Chris Elliott guest stars as Adrian Fluke, an English professor brought in for Alicia’s debate prep. Domenick Lombardozzi guest stars as Bill Kroft, Cary’s Prison Consultant.”

We’re not giving up on the Cary character just yet, mostly because we don’t think the show would be nearly as interesting in the long term if he is locked up behind bars. Does anyone really want to see him there? We certainly know that we don’t. The show is much more interesting when he is interacting with others, and trying to figure out his own ways to solve cases.

So, we’re going to take this as hope. As for whether or not you do, that decision is in your hands.
