‘The Mentalist’ season 7 spoilers: Simon Baker on plans for Jane, Lisbon

The Mentalist -With the final season of “The Mentalist” coming on the air starting on Sunday night, it is beyond appropriate for you to wonder how in the world the show is going to end.

While we are not going to get any definitive answers when it comes to that today, we at least have a little more information on another important subject here: How the show plans to continue showing us the relationship with Jane and Lisbon. Robin Tunney was quick to joke to TVLine that this is “not Fifty Shades of Grey” set within the world of the show, so don’t expect every episode to be particularly steamy.

In addition to that, Simon Baker also told the site that more than anything else, the show wants to take a twist on the standard workmates relationship where the job is the biggest struggle they are forced to deal with:

“We are not exploring the obvious side of having a relationship in the workplace but more the pitfalls and speed bumps that you come up against when you know someone so well and then decide to have a relationship with them.”

With this being said, we do know that there will at least be a few work-related issues that come up on the show in the early going, especially when the two have to figure out whether or not they want to disclose that they are together. This is something that will be a key part of Sunday’s premiere.
