2014 Macy’s Parade: Lucy Hale, Idina Menzel, Nick Jonas, Pentatonix, more appear

NBC -Today, NBC aired what we consider to be one of the biggest and the best Thanksgiving traditions out there: The annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. It is sometimes silly, sometimes fun, and almost always a great event for families to enjoy.

Today, the parade looked to continue to provide all of the entertainment that families are looking for. Some of the guests confirmed to be present along the parade route (at least those familiar to TV stars) include Nick Jonas, Idina Menzel, “Pretty Little Liars” star Lucy Hale, and former “Sing-Off” champions Pentatonix. Many of them are also “performing,” but we won’t go into an explanation of what performing means on this parade. It’s Thanksgiving; let’s not get too snarky here.

The Macy’s Parade is consistently one of the most-watched family events of the year, and next to maybe NFL football, there is not an event on TV that is more popular as a whole.

Hale performed a country performance while on board one of the floats for the season, and mostly just did a great job of appearing like she was awake, which cannot be an easy thing for her to do given just how long she was likely awake for this.

As for Jonas, he turned up a little later in the show in order to perform his new single “Jealous,” which is the biggest hit that any Jonas Brother has had in quite an extensive period of time.

As a whole, the special went off mostly without a hitch for NBC, which is a good thing given what some of the concerns were going into this about protests and the like that were taking place on Twitter.
