‘The X Factor’ UK: Simon Cowell denies feud with Cheryl Fernandez-Virsini

The judges -Who knew that the British press would continue to get themselves dragged into nonsense that airs on “The X Factor” UK? We are just as surprised as anyone that they do, but it takes place time and time again, almost without fail.

Over the course of the past several episodes of the show, Simon has basically done his typical Simon Cowell thing, and that is make a series of snide comments about Cheryl Fernandez-Virsini’s fashion, overall appearance, and also ability to be a competent judge on the show. At times, there have been some who have accused him of being too harsh, and this led to the rumors of some sort of new feud brewing. Remember, the two had a pretty epic old feud after she was removed from the American version of the show a few weeks into production.

However, Cowell wants to make one thing very clear here, and that is this: There’s no problem! He posted such on his Twitter account yesterday in response to some of the rumors, which we could have told you weren’t true right away. Simon is a smart man, and he knows that to get people talking, you have to be controversial on TV. His favorite way of doing that is by being mean.

The only real mystery to us is if Cheryl will return to the show, given that she may want to tour or do other things after getting some more new music out there. She has shown time and time again to be a hit-maker in Great Britain. Personally, we feel like she should stay, and mostly because she can find more success as a judge getting people to buy her music. It’s a tremendous platform.
