‘Dancing with the Stars’ 19 finale: Alfonso Ribeiro, Sadie Robertson lead

Tonight on ABC, the first part of the two-night “Dancing with the Stars” finale came on the air, and if there was one word to describe it, it would be “frantic.” There was a whole lot going on here, and there was also a part of it that was delayed in some markets in order to properly bring you further coverage of the events in Ferguson.

So where do we stand going into tomorrow’s results show? It really does seem to be a two-person race potentially now between Alfonso Ribeiro and Sadie Robertson, and based on a number of reasons. Bethany Mota, who we labeled the favorite going into this, had the lowest overall score of the night, and also performed first. Janel Parrish may have been hurt by some tabloid stories going into this.

For Sadie, she managed to deliver the second-best score of the night, and the more that we think about it, the more that we realize that she is probably going to be aided very much by the size of her voting block.

As for Alfonso, he really should just win the whole competition because he is the best. Seriously. There isn’t really anyone who comes that close to matching his overall level of greatness from start to finish here. Plus, he literally threw almost everything into his freestyle routine, including the kitchen sink. He also performed last, which is something that we feel is going to be a big asset to his cause. It almost always is.

Update: Apologies in the delay for the update (Ferguson break got us a little off when it comes to covering the show), but Bethany was eliminated, which means that Derek Hough has to settle for fourth place this year. This proves that pre-show, sometimes we are off by quite a bit.

For the time being, who do you think is going to win this season of “Dancing with the Stars”? Share some of your thoughts rightnow with a comment.
