‘Hart of Dixie’ season 4 debate: Where should the story go for Rachel Bilson’s Zoe?
For “Hart of Dixie” fans, the wait continues. It has been a long few months since the show was on the air, and even thought we know that the show is returning on Friday, January 9, should you really wait that long to talk about the show? We don’t think so.
We’ve talked a good bit in recent debate pieces on the subject of how the story should end for Rachel Bilson’s Zoe when it comes to Wade, and this time around, we’re going to shift the focus somewhat to a different topic: Where the story should end.
Should Zoe really stay in BlueBell forever? This is the town that she has found herself in, and it has made her so much more of a better person, and in touch with the world. With all of this being said, she is also a New Yorker. It is hard to shake this part of her identity forever, and even if she does end up with Wade in the end, we imagine the temptation still being there to go somewhere else, especially if she wants more money and acclaim as a doctor.
In the end, we could see the decision Zoe faces at the end of this series to be similar to the one that we saw Wade face earlier on in the season: What is most important to her? She can go somewhere else and potentially make some more money, or she can stay somewhere with the people she cares about. We feel like the tone of the show suggests that even if she ever gets another offer, she’ll stay in the Alabama town … but we’ll have to wait and see.
