‘The Mentalist’ season 7 video: See Robin Tunney, Simon Baker in premiere peek

While you may be waiting for a week still to see the season 7 premiere of “The Mentalist” on the air, the good news right now is that you don’t have to wait that long to see the latest sneak peek!

If you look below, you can see what is the first little shred of proof that things could be changing between Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) and Lisbon (Robin Tunney) in the wake of the two finally starting that long-awaited relationship. You see, Jane has this habit of figuring out things when it comes to a case, and then not saying anything about it until he has just about figured it out. This means that the other characters are so occupied trying to chase him down that they are not able to focus on much else.

Well, this new season could be about something so much more than that! In this new preview, you can see Jane and Lisbon actually talk out a case, and he tells her everything that he is working on. Basically, it is their way of being romantic on the job, since at the time the premiere airs, nobody knows that they are together. This means that we’re not going to be seeing much in the way of PDA on the job.

This episode really is just a couple of weeks after the two started their relationship in the finale, so be prepared to wait for a little while to see what happens when it comes to real, substantial relationship progress.
