ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion’s action-movie case (photo)

While Monday night’s new episode of “Castle” could be a case that features a potentially life-or-death situation for Esposito, moving beyond that the show will have an episode entitled “Last Action Hero” that we only have one simple goal for: That it entertains the heck out of us! We don’t need to have a case every single week that is extremely dramatic or moves the long-term story forward, and the biggest thing that this episode could have going for is a tribute to the entire action genre.

Here are the basics: An action star is found dead, and Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) work alongside some people within the industry to figure out what happened. That’s it. Simple enough, right? Well, part of the appeal is just going to be seeing what the show presents this world like, since action is such a specific genre of movie-making, and it is also a very tight-knit community.

At least the photo above does a good job of showing more of what the secrets behind the movie magic are, complete with green screens and a whole lot of props. Not every single prop stunt can happen exactly as it is seen in the movies!

With this being said, there is a part of us that curiously wonders whether or not the crew ever got confused about whether or not the fake camera set was their own, or the one being used on the show. Maybe this is why we only see this sorts of cases once in a blue moon.
