‘Elementary’ season 3 spoilers: First look at episode airing on Thanksgiving
We have to start here with this: It is pretty darn surprising that CBS is airing a new episode of “Elementary” at all on Thanksgiving. This is by and large a graveyard for new programming, since most people are doing either one of three things: Sleeping after falling into a food coma, watching more football, or already in line outside a Best Buy somewhere trying to buy a cheap flatscreen.
Nonetheless, Sherlock Holmes and company will be there for you with the installment entitled “Rip Off.” Our honest theory here is that CBS has so many episodes left to air due to Thursday Night Football, they needed to go ahead and stick one here. They have some Thursdays later in the season that are probably going to be stuffed thanks to NCAA basketball or other events that they have to take into consideration.
We imagine this episode being mostly a one-off, but maybe you will enjoy it anyway. Take a look at the official synopsis below:
“Sherlock and Kitty investigate the murder of a small postal store owner whose death is connected to the illegal diamond trade. Also, Captain Gregson puts his career in jeopardy when he hits a fellow NYPD officer.”
What we are possibly the most interested in at the moment is how Kitty still managed to be in this position. It’s no offense to the actor or the character, but the team on the show has played this out far longer than we expected them to, given that the general tendency for most in television is to do something for a few weeks, and then move on to something else.
