‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 16 spoilers: Script tease for Mariska Hargitay, Sophia Bush, more

Law & Order: SVU logoIf nothing else, the folks over at “Law & Order: SVU” are certainly liberal when it comes to their script teases. After all, we’ve seen some further proof of it below!

The latest tease, posted on the Twitter account of showrunner Warren Leight, gives you a pretty big dose of what’s going to be coming up in the crossover event with “Chicago PD.” This includes getting to see some familiar faces from the show like Halstead and Lindsay working alongside Benson and Amaro as they try to stop a massive operation that is targeting and sexually exploiting children.

We imagine there being quite a few interesting moments during this event that will be interesting to watch unfold. For example, Benson and Voight are two people who command respect, but also handle police work in entirely different ways. How will they function when forced to work alongside each other? For NBC’s marketing department, they must appreciate having Sophia Bush and Mariska Hargitay together, since these two alongside Debra Messing have made up their entire Wednesday-night campaign.

This is not the first time we’ve seen a crossover between these different limbs of Dick Wolf’s TV empire, and we have a hard time thinking that it will also be the last. The only thing we are really hoping for is that there continue to be interesting, organic ways to bring everyone together. The last thing that we want to see is any of these appearances feel forced in any way. The shows are good enough on their own.
