‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 6, episode 5 video: Your customary Kensi – Deeks scene

While “NCIS: Los Angeles” seems to be in almost no hurry at all to get the Kensi and Deeks characters together, the producers behind the scenes of the show seem to be very much aware of what fans want to see more than anything else. After all, it seems like every week without fail, the CBS show delivers to you a sneak peek that features the two doing something at least reasonably interesting.

The preview we have below for Monday’s “Black Budget” is to us very fun, since it shows that these two do have no problem breaking a few of the rules … at least if eating potato chips happens to be involved. Deeks takes it upon himself to snack right in the middle of a crime scene, and using some chips that he purchased over a vending machine.

Sooner or later, we do feel like the show will make a larger move in their relationship beyond just a few scenes featuring the two parties casually flirting, and the awareness of the relationship is definitely there. As a matter of fact, we’ll go on record here in saying that we’ll be shocked if it does not happen this season. With the ratings for the series being what they are right now, you have to know that there is a chance you could be ending fairly soon. Therefore, it benefits you very much to give fans what they want beforehand.

A good comparison here would be “The Mentalist,” who decided to finally pair up Jane and Lisbon last season, feeling like the show was going to be ending soon and they needed to give fans something that they’d be happy with.
