‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6 spoilers: Is Paul Wesley’s Stefan back in the picture?

So far on “The Vampire Diaries” season 6, one of the major storylines we’ve seen play out is Stefan continuing to be as desperate as humanly possible to distance himself from the life that he had in and around Mystic Falls.

However, could something ultimately drive him closer to this world again? It seems like by the time the upcoming November 13 episode entitled “Do You Remember the First Time?” airs, we could end up seeing Paul Wesley working with a variety of familiar faces again in some capacity. Tripp is going to establish himself further as a major force to be reckoned with, and that may lead to Stefan forming a pretty unusual alliance.

For a few more details, just take a look at the attached synopsis right now:

“When the past comes back to haunt her, Elena (Nina Dobrev) is forced to face her problems head on. After a night out at the annual Whitmore Medical Center Fundraiser, Jo (guest star Jodi Lyn O’Keefe) opens up to Alaric (Matt Davis) about her own tragic past. Meanwhile, Stefan (Paul Wesley), Matt (Zach Roerig) and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) resort to extreme measures when Tripp (guest star Colin Ferguson) withholds information about his vampire-killing operation, and Caroline (Candice Accola) is in a race against the clock when Sheriff Forbes (guest star Marguerite MacIntyre) gets caught in the middle of a dangerous plan. Elsewhere, Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Liv (guest star Penelope Mitchell) grow closer, and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) stumbles upon a startling clue that renews his hope.”

It’s an understatement to say that we are excited about seeing all of this play out, but this also looks like an episode where some pretty terrible things could happen. For example, could the show kill off Sheriff Forbes? It seems almost mean, given how Caroline has lost so much already; but, we’re not putting it past this show at the moment.
