‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: Vinnie Jones cast as Brick!

We’ve got another recurring villain coming up on “Arrow” season 3, and today, we’re here with a few of the first details all about him.

Per a new report from Variety, British actor Vinnie Jones has been cast to play the role of Danny Brickwell, a notorious gang leader who will appear in at least three episodes coming up early next year. He is known for being ruthless, but also mythical in a way thanks to his inability to be put down. He’s been shot countless times, but somehow finds a way to survive.

How to this connect to the comics? Brickwell goes by the nickname “Brick,” which is the same name shared by a popular DC Comics villain, known mostly for having a practically-impenetrable layer of skin. He is known as a popular Green Arrow villain.

In the end, much of this seems like yet another smart way to remix a comic character and thrown them into this world, while also limiting some of the superpowers that we see in Starling City. Smartly, Marc Guggenheim and company are working very hard to ensure that this is a place where powers feel rather special. That is what made Slade Wilson such a notorious villain thanks to the mirakuru. Most of the powers these days are being reserved a little more for “The Flash,” which is where we could see a lot more of this sort of thing later this season.

Let’s just hope you are the patient type, given that there are going to be more episodes of the show coming up prior to seeing this character. As a matter of fact, there will even be a crossover episode with “The Flash” that comes up at around the eighth episode of both shows.
