NBC’s ‘The Voice’ preview: Blessing Offor takes on Katriz Trinidad

There are a few interesting battles coming up on NBC’s “The Voice” this week, but at the moment, we are classifying Blessing Offor vs. Katriz Trinidad as one of the few that is really catching our attention more than any other, at least in terms of pairing alone.

For one, we question whether or not Pharrell is truly sane for putting these two parties against one another for this battle. We know that everyone does have to square off at some point, but these are two of our favorites on this team! Plus, they come from completely different worlds, and therefore each bring something pretty tremendous to the table.

As for who we currently feel is the better of the two, that’s a very hard thing to say. Right now, we’d pick Blessing as the more seasoned performer, and his story may help him be a popular figure in the public vote; however, Katriz may have more of an upside down the road, and if you could bring that potential out of her, she could be dangerous.

The unfortunate thing is that NBC has not really released a whole lot of footage of this battle, at least beyond what you can see in the video below of the two parties speaking out beforehand about how different they each are, and some of the complications that therefore come with the two taking on a song that appeals to each of them in different ways.

This is in the end only one of many difficult choice that Pharrell is going to have to make during this episode. Want to see some more of it right now?
