‘The Walking Dead’ season 5, episode 2 reaction: Andrew J. West on Bob’s future, ‘dinner’

The Walking Dead -Just in case anyone was questioning whether or not Gareth was going to be a force to be reckoned with on “The Walking Dead” season 5, you had your answer during Sunday night’s new episode “Strangers” when we saw this guy capture Bob, cut off his leg, and then basically have himself a nice meal as a result.

For the record, actor Andrew J. West was actually eating during that scene … just not human flesh. As he told The Hollywood Reporter in a new interview, he was actually eating pork; not only that, but it was so “tasty” that he actually didn’t need to eat a regular meal in its place that day!

As for whether or not Bob is 100% dead after this incident, West did not rule out that the character could somehow still find a way to escape his grasp:

“I feel like there’s hope for everyone until you see them with green skin and rotting flesh or a bullet in the brain. It’d be wrong to say that it’s hopeless for anyone. We saw Hershel get around for a long time on one leg. I wouldn’t want to say it’s hopeless for Bob; that would be misleading.”

The reason why Rick and company should be so afraid of Gareth at the moment is because this is a man who is suddenly more than a little bit empowered. He lost his sanctuary in Terminus, and in a way, Rick and the group’s escape from there has allowed him to not be so complacent anymore.

Ultimately, we expect things to get so much worse here well before they start to get better.
