‘Longmire’ season 4: Messages from Robert Taylor, Cassidy Freeman, Adam Bartley via renewal campaign

Big news -We’d been teasing it for a while, but last night, the “Longmire” fan base held what may be one of its most-passionate social-media stampedes yet. Not only that, but the show managed to get the hashtag #Longmire4 trending for a while as further proof of the audience’s strength and willingness to get out there to show their love. This is not a situation where A&E just canceled the show, either; the fans have been this active for weeks now.

What we really enjoyed about the stampede last night in particular were seeing some of the personal photos and memories from series stars Adam Bartley (The Ferg) and Cassidy Freeman (Cady), and for those of you without social media, we thought it’d be nice to be able to see some of them in one convenient place. All of these are included at the bottom of this article, and they make you more nostalgic than ever about the show and eager to see it return.

Unfortunately, it’s hard to tell over the course of a weekend if any of this has made a huge impact in getting the show a new home or not, but a great way to think of it is with this: The results of this are only going to be positive. Maybe it helps to get the show over the top, or if nothing else, maybe it at least creates a mental note for someone in programming at a network to consider a pitch more than they have. Any little bit helps at this point.

Now, we just have to hope that this level of fervor and passion will continue to sustain. It could still be theoretically months before any firm announcement on the future arrives, but we’ll be here every step of the way regardless with everything from firm updates to what the cast is working on now.
