‘Two and a Half Men’ season 12 spoilers: Jon Cryer as Duckie, more in first promo

When was the last time that you saw a show actually premiere with a Halloween episode? If we are being completely honest, we don’t quite remember. This is probably what makes the new promo below for “Two and a Half Men” all the more interesting.

In this promo, you’re going to have an epic Halloween bash that leads to Walden (Ashton Kutcher) and Alan (Jon Cryer) trying to figure out what they are going to do, and at some point, this also leads to Walden deciding that he wants to get new priorities in his life. Eventually, we figure that this will lead to the storyline that is all about these two getting married and pretending to be a gay couple, just so that Walden can have an easier time going through the adoption process.

We figure we’ll have plenty of time to discuss / complain about this story later, so instead, let’s spend a moment or two discussing the great thing about this promo: Seeing the return of Duckie! We really like that Cryer was okay enough to bring back the old “Pretty in Pink” persona here, mostly because there was probably a time in his life when he was worried about being stuck as this character forever and most likely tried to avoid it. Now, he’s lucky in that he has both a classic film and TV character under his belt. We’re actually very curious to see what Cryer is going to after this show. He’s going to have plenty of opportunities out there to maybe do something a little different.
