ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4 spoilers: Will Abby, Olivia continue to be at odds?

There is little doubt to us that “Scandal” season 4 has been fairly difficult so far for a certain Olivia Pope, and there has not been a whole lot in the way of signs that things will be improving … at least until now.

Let’s start off here with the bad news: It does not appear as though Abby is leaving her post at the White House at any point in the near future. There are many problems that come with being the Press Secretary, and for Darby Stanchfield in general, this has to be a pretty fun, different storyline for her to play.

Luckily, Entertainment Weekly reports that there is going to be something coming up that causes her character to get closer to Olivia again, and it may have a little bit to do with the shocker of Jake being framed at the end of this past episode of the show. Olivia may need Abby, while Abby may need Olivia in turn. These two do work better more often than not when there is a sense of synergy between the two, and maybe this is a way to help to bring that back a little bit more.

Granted, Olivia also has her hands full with a variety of other things. Her day job is not going to slow down just because the guy she loves is locked up, and she is going to have to come to terms with some of that. Also, expect to see a considerable bit more of Portia de Rossi as she looks to get very much involved.
