‘Arrow’ season 3, episode 3 preview: Latest tease all about Willa Holland’s Thea

Roy -If we were Willa Holland right now, we’d feel pretty stoked about the material being handed over for “Arrow” season 3 so far. You may have started a little later than some of the other regulars, but it seems worth it going into Wednesday’s new “Corto Maltese.”

The video below is an extended look at the episode, with features almost Thea’s story entirely. We begin here with her enlistment into what we like to call Malcolm Merlyn’s Badass Boot Camp, which is how you learn to withstand pain and be incredibly cold and ruthless. John Barrowman’s character may not be a particularly good father when it comes to anything that fathers are actually supposed to do, but he’s awesome at teaching you to be terrifying.

Meanwhile, we also have Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) arriving with the help of Diggle (David Ramsey) and Roy (Colton Haynes), and they all have one simple mission: Try and bring Thea back. (Well, maybe it’s not so simple, since Diggle is going to get some separate orders of his own.)

What seems to be interesting about this episode first and foremost is that it is one of the few “Arrow” stories that seems to be taking place mostly in the daylight, and without a whole lot of the actual Arrow costume. This could be much more about Oliver Queen trying to connect with his sister on a personal level.

Unfortunately, almost all of this could be so much more difficult when you remember that Oliver has to try and figure out how to deal with the very-sudden news that Malcolm Merlyn isn’t dead, after all. While many have met him in the past year, none of them have made this news clear to him just yet.
