‘Hart of Dixie’ season 4: The aftermath, and discussing the future

More -What happens when you finish up work on a long-running TV shows? One of the best things that you can do, at least sometimes, is get some much-needed time to relax.

This is something in particular that we are looking forward to watching over the next few weeks, as the “Hart of Dixie” cast all starts to unwind from what may have been their final experience in BlueBell. Rachel Bilson’s likely giving birth very soon, Wilson Bethel’s lined up a new project, and as for Scott Porter, he’s finally had some surgery done that he had to put off until the end of the season. The photo below from his Instagram is of his recovers. There’s also a bonus one we put in there of the wrap party for good measure.

If we had it our way when it comes to Porter, we already know what his next major gig should be if the end is really near for the CW series: Something that moves him over to “Arrow” or “The Flash.” He’s already a well-known superhero fan, it’s the same studio in Warner Bros. TV, and there are countless heroes out there who have yet to be brought into the fold over here. Plus, with the movie and TV universes separate, this could open it up to more possibilities. (We want to keep Scott on TV mostly because we’re greedy, and to be honest, we prefer superhero shows to movies right now.)

If you missed it, early this week a report came out saying that while no firm decision has been made on the show’s future, the “Hart of Dixie” finale was written to serve as a proper end to the series if it is deemed so. You can read more about that over here, or, be sure to sign up to get some further TV news on all we cover via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo via The CW.)
