‘Two and a Half Men’ season 12. Jon Cryer to reprise Duckie (sort of) this Halloween

Duckie -Given how long that “Two and a Half Men” has been on the air so far, it’s somewhat of a surprise that there hasn’t been a “Pretty in Pink” homage done before now. Better late than never, right?

The attached photo here comes courtesy of TVLine, and it is of the show’s October 30 premiere. Due to the timing of the show starting up due to the NFL football deal on CBS, it also happens to be at the same time the Halloween special. Clearly, Jon Cryer can still rock Duckie after so many years, while Ashton Kutcher (Walden) has his best zombie Elvis thing going on right now.

Surprisingly, the powers that be have been a little coy on the story for the 12th and final season of the comedy, other than of course the controversial premise of Alan and Walden deciding that they want to adopt a child, and they therefore are pretending to be a couple. This is basically a modified version of the Adam Sandler – Kevin James movie “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry,” and we’re sure already that it will offend some. Then again, this show seems to be an equally-opportune offender, so nobody can feel like they are necessarily being singled out over anyone else.

We imagine that for Cryer, there was a certain part of his life when he was afraid to embrace this out of fear of being typecast. At least some of that fear and trepidation seems to be a little bit behind him right now.
