ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4, episode 3 preview: Latest ‘Ashes’ video stars Charlotte, Victoria

Just as though Emily Thorne did not have enough adversaries stacking against her right now, the “Revenge” sneak peek below makes one thing abundantly clear: Charlotte is now officially on Team Victoria.

In this video, Charlotte approaches her mother with the news that Emily is actually Amanda Clarke, and probably expected her to say “really?” with her jaw on the floor, as though this is the greatest surprise that she has ever heard during her entire life. This did not exactly happen as she hoped. Instead, Victoria told her that she had “suspected” the truth, and that she wanted to wait to tell her until she was 100% sure. Whatever you need to tell yourself to get through this, Victoria.

At this given point, we don’t really care if Charlotte is Team Victoria, Team Emily, or Team Nobody. We just want to see a consistent storyline for her for a change. Given that this woman has been a part of the show since the very beginning, it’s appalling just how all over the place some of her storylines have been. We still have zero clue what she wants from this world, who her true friends are, or if she will ever fully grow up. At this point, we almost want her to go through some sort of transformation, where by the end of the season she could be either as powerful or vengeful as one of our other leads. It’s too bad that we ultimately have a hard time seeing that happen.
