MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 4, episode 13 video: An awkward new year for Jenna, Matty

We suppose that “Awkward” did not want to air a Christmas Special in the middle of the fall, so with that in mind, Tuesday night’s new episode is going to be focusing on a different holiday in December: New Year’s Eve!

Also, we’re going to continue to see Jenna Hamilton as the master of mixed signals. In the sneak-peek video below, she prepared a pretty nice and seemingly-romantic dinner for herself and Matty to celebrate the holiday, knowing that in the wake of the whole Eva fiasco, he may want to do his best to stay out of the public eye (at least for Palos Hills). However, she finds out soon after this that this is not going to be a romantic occasion at all. After all, it is pretty hard for it to be when you have Jake there, and he looks ready and willing to party hard.

While Jenna and Matty may both be single, we expect there to be plenty more struggles that the two each independently go through over the course of the rest of the season. By this, we are referring to possible new love interests for each one of them, and also confusion over their future. Matty still has yet to meet either of his biological parents, and there’s a possibility that the two could go off to college completely away from each other. They have plenty to talk about and go through, and we’ll just have to see where this story goes in the end.
