‘Faking It’ season 2 spoilers: More on Shane, Amy, Liam, and more

While Shane was mostly able to be the social butterfly and the keeper of secrets on “Faking It” season 1, the difference between then and now is that the tension surrounding the characters is so much worse than it was before. In the aftermath of Amy and Liam sleeping together, there are secrets so devastating that they could destroy entire friendships.

Michael Willett was asked about how this secret is going to further create problems for all characters on the show during a chat with TVLine, and he responded with the following:

“It challenges everyone’s relationship with each other. There are new trust issues between Liam and Shane, so they’ll have to patch those up. Shane’s confidence also gets challenged; he starts to think, ‘Maybe I don’t have all the answers. Maybe I shouldn’t be doling out this advice.’ You’re going to see some cracks in Shane’s armor, for sure.”

It is still unclear if or when Karma will find out about this secret, but the one thing we feel pretty confident about is that the consequences of it being revealed are not going to be good for anyone.

As for some other news, Willett teases that Shane and Lauren are going to continue to have just as much tension between them as always, mostly because they are so similar to each other. While Shane may know now that she is intersex, don’t expect a whole lot else to change about their relationship.
