‘Elementary’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Dexter’s’ Ice Truck Killer a blast from Joan’s past

Who’s ready for another Watson love interest on “Elementary“? This one is more of a past than present love, but that may change as the episode goes on.

For the time being, here is what we know. According to a new report from TVLine, Christian Carmago, whose resume includes “Haven” and also a memorable turn as the Ice Truck Killer on the first season of “Dexter,” will be coming to the CBS drama for its seventh episode. His character Chris is someone deeply tied to the past of Lucy Liu’s character; not only was he a co-worker in the world of medicine and a boyfriend, but the two were even close at one point to getting married.

So what happens when he turns back up now? You have to think that some sparks between the two could fly again.

We’re getting all of this news these days about Watson love interests, but unfortunately, there is not a whole lot of news on the Sherlock front right now. We unfortunately don’t know when that is going to change; Natalie Dormer’s film career is burgeoning, and that means fewer and fewer opportunities moving forward for her to come on here as a guest star.

If you want to see the new season of “Elementary,” you’re going to be waiting for a little while … at least until October 30. Blame Thursday Night Football by and large for the delay, since it is dominating that timeslot.
