‘The Originals’ season 2: Joseph Morgan, cast gather around (awkward) dinner table

In just a week from today, fans of “The Originals” have something further to celebrate: The show will be back for its second season! Hopefully, this will mean an opportunity to answer many questions that you have, and also prove that this series is every bit as exciting as you remember.

Before that, though, allow us to also introduce one of the most awkward dinner parties that we have seen to date. The image below was first posted by The Hollywood Reporter, and it shows Joseph Morgan, Leah Pipes, and the rest of the cast of the show all gathered around the table. We don’t know who put these characters up to this, but it’s interesting to look at.

One thing that you do have to remember here is that while this photo is pretty darn cool, it’s completely out of context with anything actually happening with the show. Therefore, don’t imagine that everyone is actually going to get together like this. It just wouldn’t make sense, especially when you remember how Klaus and Davina really feel about each other right now. With that being said, we’re sure that Klaus / Cami shippers will probably have themselves a field day with the way that these two characters are positioned here on the poster.

The obvious missing link here is Mikael, but we suppose that it really wouldn’t make sense to have him present here. After all, everyone knows already just what he is going to try to be doing right now when it comes to Klaus.
