‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6 spoilers: Prepare for the next villain

“The Vampire Diaries” has brought to the table a variety of different villains over the years, whether it be Silas, Klaus, Katherine, or many others. Now, we have a mysterious villain we do not know by name just yet.

While executive producer Caroline Dries tells HitFix that the villain is coming, she was relatively coy about some of what you can expect. What we do know is that he will stay put for a little bit, and should shake things up with many of the main characters:

“He is just like a crazy person and he’s super-fun to write and the actor’s name is Chris Wood … He’s very charismatic and charming and psychotic and likable and unlikable in all the right ways, you get to meet him in a few episodes and he’s gonna stick around for a while, hopefully.”

You probably know Wood best for playing Adam on “The Carrie Diaries,” which is surely a very different “diary” then the one that is at the center of the series here. All we know for now is that we have enormous expectations for this character to be very interesting. The show has already created such a slew of memorable people along the way.

The new season of “The Vampire Diaries” is going to premiere on The CW starting on Thursday, October 2, and you are not going to see too much of the character right away. Hopefully, there will be plenty of other great news coming up in relation to the series very soon.
