‘Bones’ season 10: David Boreanaz, John Francis Daley look back at Booth, Sweets

Clearly, many out there are probably still reeling from what happened on Thursday night’s “Bones” season 10 premiere. Maybe the video below will be a nice way to reflect and smile over the relationship that Sweets and Booth had; or, maybe it will just make you all the more bummed out that Sweets is no longer with us.

Either way, we look at this as a nice way to reflect a little on someone who was obviously a huge part of the show. Sweets started off as just a therapist to help Booth and Brennan understand one another seven seasons ago, but eventually turned into a loyal friend and a valuable member of the team. He actually became more of a profiler than anything else, and it appeared for a while like he was on the road to happiness.

Unfortunately, now he’s dead from the show and not coming back. Even though he was not an original character on the show, the interesting thing about him is that he became such an integral part of the series that it is hard to imagine it without him. A good comparison will be Ziva and “NCIS,” at least mostly in that they both both came on the show a couple of years end, but were beloved over the time that they were present. The only real difference is that at least Ziva fans can clamor for her return still; for Sweets, all we can hope for is that there will be a few flashbacks here and there throughout the rest of the series’ run, however long that may be. This is not officially the final season.
