‘The Mentalist’ season 7 spoilers: Be prepared to meet Lisbon’s brothers!

So far, trying to get concrete scoop on the seventh season of “The Mentalist” has been a difficult task, and arguably for a variety of different reasons. The show is still many months out, and in between that and a secret story, there has been no rush on the producers to release anything.

With that being said, we do have some scoop here that we personally find very exciting: We will be meeting some of Lisbon’s family members soon … but arguably not in the way in which you would think. According to TVLine, one of her brothers in Jimmy, who is in his early thirties, is being tracked down by the FBI as a witness to a murder. He is identified only for being a “gambler,” which means he may have more in common with risk-taker Jane that his own sister.

Meanwhile, the other brother is named Stan, and while older (in his late thirties) and more of a family man on the surface, he may still be hiding a secret or two. Ultimately, what we get out of this is that this may not be that happy of a family reunion. With that being said, we also don’t want to see a situation where there are constantly fights among the family or that Lisbon’s brothers are criminals. That seems to be a little too much of drama for drama’s sake.

The new season of “The Mentalist” will premiere on CBS come midseason, which may mean January or a date as late as March. We’ll have more soon.
