‘Dancing with the Stars’ 19: Sadie Robertson, Bethany Mota, and Tommy Chong week 2 results

HereLast week on “Dancing with the Stars,” we had onesies, awkward interviews, and a few standout performances that showed that there were some surprising contenders in the competition.

The biggest shocker to us is that Lea Thompson suddenly became a beast in this competition, and she may be a huge contender after feeling in danger last week. We’ll have to see where things go from here with her. With a 35 out of 40, she is the top-scoring star for the week.

As for the other contenders, Janel Parrish upped her game in getting a 34 alongside Val Chmerkovskiy, Bethany Mota overcame an injury on her way to getting a 33, and Alfonso Ribeiro slipped from his perch last week in getting a 32. These are all probably going to be consistent favorites for at least a little while, but the one person we continue to be worry about right now in the group is Lea. After all, she is the person who was in danger previously, and we don’t know what her fan following is really like at this point.

So what about the stars in danger? Tommy Chong is steady, but a 28 is probably not going to be enough for him to survive very long. Meanwhile, Michael Waltrip is probably screwed with a 24, the lowest score of the night by a good margin. The guy tries, but he just cannot dance! The darkhorse to go home would be Jonathan Bennett, given that the “Mean Girls” star is not exactly the most well-known actor on the show. His partner in Allison Holker (“So You Think You Can Dance”) may be just as popular as he is at this point.
