‘Gotham’ episode 2 preview: First look at ‘Selina Kyle,’ Cobblepot’s next move

Did you enjoy the premiere of “Gotham”? While there were some bumps in the road, it felt like there was enough of a mixture of fun, action, and fan service to satisfy most lovers of all things Batman.

So where will the story go from here? The next episode is entitled “Selina Kyle,” and that name is an obvious reference to one of the world’s most notorious characters: Catwoman. With that being said, she is not exactly going to be the version of the character you remember. Take a look at the short synopsis below:

“Detectives Gordon and Bullock investigate a child trafficking ring preying on Gotham’s street kids, including Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova). Meanwhile, Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) resurfaces in the countryside and begins to make his way back to GOTHAM, leaving victims in his wake.”

We figure that the challenge for “Gotham” is going to be timing. There will be a natural temptation to almost waste no time to introduce new characters from the Batman universe, mostly because this motley crew is really what made the comics so fantastic, even compared to the others that were under the DC banner.

The next thing we are excited about is waiting to see what the ratings for the show will be. These will be made clear at some point around noon Eastern time Tuesday, but we’re expecting big numbers.
