‘The Originals’ season 2: See Joseph Morgan, Phoebe Tonkin, more in cast photos

Two weeks from today, there will be now more waiting: “The Originals” season 2 will finally be upon us! With that in mind, why not take a look at some of the brand-new cast promotional photos for the show?

These images were shared recently via Zap2It, and if we were comparing them to some others that we have seen lately, we would say that they are somewhat minimalist in nature. They are basically brooding, fancy versions of class pictures.

Still, it is very nice to have them, and to see the cast mostly glammed-up like they are preparing for a night out in New Orleans. Also, these photos do serve as a pretty good indicator most of the time as to which characters are going to be important for an upcoming season, and which you can probably invest a little less time into caring about.

One character we would say that we are very happy to see in here is Sebastian Roche as Mikael, given that this proves he will most likely be around for a substantial period of time. This has to be music to Roche’s ears, given that this guy has probably felt the pain time and time again of having his characters killed off.

Also, no Claire Holt. We saw this one coming given that she’s up to other things and the show seems to have moved on, but if you are still looking for some sort of a silver lining, remember that you will at least see her in one episode moving forward, if not more.
