‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6 premiere spoilers: Watch a Candice Accola sneak peek

When the season 6 premiere of “The Vampire Diaries” airs a week fromThursday night, there are many different things that you should expect from many different characters. When it comes to Caroline Forbes, though, one thing you can especially look forward to seeing can be described as a quandary of emotions.

Basically, Candice Accola’s character is struggling when it comes to how to spend time with Elena, and due to that, she is been gravitating towards her mother instead. Elena has grieved extensively over the loss of Bonnie, but she does not understand fully why she has remained so quiet in terms of Damon. There have been few tears, and it feels like Nina Dobrev’s character has opted to just preoccupy herself by thinking about football and other matters.

Will Caroline give her longtime friend a little bit of a break? We’d count on it, but that does not mean that the two are going to start becoming tied together at the hip (metaphorically) anytime soon. Both have their own trauma and their own pain, even if they have many things in common. One of those things may be Stefan, who has made the curious decision to take off from the realm of the familiar after all of the events of the past year or so. You will see him in a surprising place, and while you may want to see him and Caroline together (like many others do), that is not even a remote guarantee that it will happen that way.
