‘Outlander’ episode 7 spoilers: Jamie’s thoughts before the big wedding

Where is the story going next on “Outlander”? “The Wedding” is quite possibly the most important episode of the series to date, or at least after Claire arrived in Scotland in the first place. (It’s a little hard to overlook that.)

Well, the sneak peek below serves as a great way to get at least a little bit more insight into what story is being told right now. In this clip, you can see a conversation between Murtagh and Jamie, where the latter makes it clear that he only wanted to bed wed once. Suffice it to say, this is going to be an awkward / intense situation for almost everyone involved.

While what happens as a result of this is important, it is hardly the end of the story. Heck, we haven’t even made it to the halfway point of the season just yet, and that is saying something given that cable shows typically do not have such a long life, especially in their first seasons.

We’re hesitant to say too much more about this wedding, at least for now; while there are a good percentage of viewers who are probably coming into the show, there are those lucky few who get the chance to experience everything for the first time. The feeling is probably the equivalent of getting to experience “Game of Thrones” without any knowledge. We had the opportunity to watch the entire first season spoiler-free, and that was pretty invigorating (almost too much so, given that we got so excited we spoiled later seasons for ourselves).
