‘Outlander’ episode 7 spoilers: First look at Claire’s wedding dress (sort of)

This weekend’s “Outlander” episode is for many the one that they have been waiting for. It also happens to be one of the most mysterious, at least for those who did not read the books.

The first six episodes of the series were sent to some critics in advance, which is a pretty tremendous sign that the network and producers have confidence in the series. You do not let that many people see what your series is beforehand otherwise. The title for this episode is “The Wedding,” and we know that Claire and Jamie will be front and center for it.

Now, we have a first look at the dress! This image was first posted by People Magazine, and it gives you a pretty revealing look of just what to expect. (Yes, that was clearly a pun, also because this is the undergarment.) This wedding is not one happening so much out of love, though; instead, this is more of one happening out of necessity.  This wedding could keep Claire in a more stable situation, and given what we just saw with those scenes with Black Jack, he’s certainly not a guy she wants to be around any longer.

After “The Wedding,” there is sadly only one episode left for the summer. While we know already that “Outlander” has been renewed for a second season, there are still eight season 1 episodes before that. Hopefully following the summer finale next weekend, Starz will allow us to have a slightly better indication as to when some of those stories will come on the air.
