‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 16 spoilers: What’s next for Rollins?
We have spent quite a bit of time over the summer talking about Olivia Benson and “Law & Order: SVU,” so for this article, we’re going to take a little bit of a different route and talk about Amanda Rollins. At the end of season 15, she definitely had a story that was full of twists and turns, especially when it comes to what went on with her and Amaro.
Is that going to continue? That is something we will have to wait and see. What we are going to see, though, is a different sort of blast from the character’s past. According to a new report from TV Guide, we are going to see her run into her past when she returns to Atlanta. This man has now left his wife, and this could lead to some very interesting stories that come her way in this particular hour.
One of the great things about a show being on for as long as this one has is strictly that it does yield all sorts of opportunities in the realm of character stories. You’ve come to know Rollins very well already, but you get a chance now to find out more and more of her past. Hopefully, this continues with her and many of her other characters as we get deeper into the season.
The premiere episode of “Law & Order: SVU” will air on Wednesday, September 24, and it will do so with an hour that is mostly about Benson. We’ll have to see where the story goes from here.

Det. Amanda Rollins always seems to end up associating with some pretty lousy people, who always try to take advantage her, sexually or otherwise. Let’s hope that whoever this person is, their time together will be brief and not cause her too much pain or damage. It seems as if people from Atlanta have always taken advantage of her. Unfortunately, we cannot have a SVU/Walking Dead crossover where the walkers eat all these people who make Det. Rollins life so miserable. it’s time to get Kelli Giddish and everyone else re-signed and extended so there won’t be any worries about the continuing saga of Det. Amanda Rollins. Go Kelli Go!
