‘The Strain’ episode 11 preview: Will Zack be safe in ‘The Third Rail’?

We are starting to get near the end of FX’s “The Strain,” which to us by and large means one thing: There are only going to be more crazy events and surprises just around every corner. The next episode is entitled “The Third Rail,” and right after we’ve already seen some characters meet a grisly fate, more could join them in this very soon.

Specifically, there is a reason to worry about Zack. If you want to get some further news and insight about that, just take a look at the attached synopsis:

“Setrakian leads Eph, Fet and Nora in the hunt for the Master’s lair. Left behind at the pawnshop with Mariela, Zack risks his safety for Mariela’s sake.”

Will there be more bodies that fall in this episode? It wouldn’t surprise us at all, given the nature of the show, but FX and the producers may also choose to keep you waiting for the true jaw-dropping moments until episode 12. One thing to remember here is that this has become the sort of trendy episode in which to kill characters off now, since you want to ensure that you find a way to build up significant hype for the finale, and create an episode there that is about mourning, with a big tease at the end for the second season. Luckily, we’re going into these final episodes knowing that the network was kind enough to hand out an early renewal.
