‘The Walking Dead’ season 5: New photos of Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, cast

AMC is starting to slowly allow some of the promotional material out there for “The Walking Dead” season 5, and in this particular case, it means the latest photos of many cast members. We don’t have the complete set just yet, but these should be enough to satisfy for now.

We’ll start with Daryl (whose image was first posted by E!), mostly because we know what his popularity levels are out there. Does this glimmer of light mean hope for Norman Reedus’ character? Maybe, but that same level of hope is present for all of the characters. The same could be said for Carol (Melissa McBride), who was not even in the train car at the end of season 4.

These images are probably our favorite official promotional shots of the show that they have done for a season, mostly because these are the only ones that feel like they could have been taken directly from the show itself. They are dark, moody, atmospheric, and simultaneously hopeful and bleak. Also, some of them are surprisingly sweaty! How’s that for realism?

The character right now who may actually be in the most interesting position is Rick (Andrew Lincoln), mostly because of the fact that he has to re-take that title of leader in a short amount of time, and show off that ruthless side once again. If you recall, it wasn’t that long ago where you saw him trying to put all this behind him while taking up farming, of all things.
