‘Homeland’ season 4 spoilers: Claire Danes explains what’s next for Carrie

See Carrie -In just a matter of few weeks now on October 5, “Homeland” season 4 is back with all-new episodes. With that in mind, we not prepare for what lies ahead now?

In the video below, Claire Danes does her part to explain all of the complications that are coming up for her character when the series returns to Showtime, and much of that starts with the basic notion that Carrie is in a new place. After all that happened stateside, we are going over to the Middle East, where she is now working as a Section Chief for the CIA. (Technically, the show is filming in South Africa, but that’s neither here nor there.)

One of the real problems here, though, revolves all around someone we remember very well from the first few seasons in Nicholas Brody. Even though Carrie may be doing everything that she can right now to move forward with her life, there is a difference between wanting to move on and actually doing it. She will be weighed down in a way by the existence of this child, and this constant reminder of who this man was and what he meant to her.

Danes mentions here that obviously, Carrie wants the best for her kid and she as an actress wants the best for the two of them. However, at the same time there is also a downside to all of this that does need to be explored, and that is what one of the purposes of this series is right now.
