‘Bachelor in Paradise’ season 2 official hours before season 1 finale airs

We figured that this was coming soon, and fans of “Bachelor in Paradise” can now celebrate that the news is official, and that the show is coming back now to ABC for another season.

Are we surprised by this announcement? Hardly, given that this was ABC’s #1 new reality show of the summer, and the ratings were not much of a drop off at all from “The Bachelorette.” This show also has potential to do a whole lot more than it did in the first season, also, given that there is now a proof-of-concept.

With this being said, we feel like the biggest thing that ABC and the show’s producers can do now is really work hard to secure some of the franchise’s most-popular names for another season on the show. For example, trying to get men and women who have been in contention for “The Bachelor” before, but just narrowly missed out. Or, possibly secure a few people who were actually leads similar to what happened when Jake Pavelka was on “Bachelor Pad.” Our biggest problem with this show is that there were a good percentage of people beforehand who we had little to no recollection of prior to the start of the season, and that was with watching every season of this show for at least the past several years.

It will be interesting to see what the producers think of now, given that they will have a substantially longer period of time to plan things out now.
