‘Big Brother 16’ review: Derrick’s dominance gets a ‘holla’; other drama

Derrick -Tonight’s episode of “Big Brother 16” is sponsored by a few “hollas,” mostly because we heard a million of them throughout this episode.

With that being said, this was still a fun hour that included many wipeouts, the continued destruction of Frankie Grande courtesy of the edit, and a number of other important highlights and moves from the live feeds. They also did a good job explaining why Caleb would want Frankie out of the game (he was throwing him under the bus about the Donny vote), and also why there is paranoia about Nicole and Christine working together.

Still, the big winner of the entire episode is Derrick. He won $5,000, he didn’t go on the block, and he’s winning the edit. The man is so good at this game that it is almost like he has influenced production as well as some of the other players. Basically, not one person wants him out. The only person who may even remotely consider it is Christine, but she has Cody, who would probably talk him out of it. This is why it really doesn’t matter that much to him who goes home. As a matter of fact, it may even be beneficial to keep Nicole, given that she doesn’t have anyone else to work with.

Really, we give the show credit for doing everything that it can to make the remaining houseguests entertaining, when the reality is they are mostly not. When the biggest thing we’re looking forward to is Frankie learning that he is not greatest person in America’s eyes, you know you have a problem. Grade: B-.
